FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION ?

Many times I have come across this question from the people I meet

“ Where are you working?"

I politely answer “ I am a HOME MAKER! ”

Then I am asked with surprise :

”WHY?”

Then I take all my time to explain the reason.

But, later when I pondered on this Frequently Asked Question, one thought kept lingering In my mind. The thought that made me feel good.

During our ancestral period women had to look after household chores. That was the norm. So the question of them “going to work” was irrelevant.
Then came the period where women started to step out of their homes into the corporate world, in search of job, exploring all available opportunities.
Then people started to ask women

“ ARE YOU WORKING?”

Now in the present scenario where times have changed and women pursuing a career is almost inevitable, the mindset of people has changed and so the question.

“ WHERE ARE YOU WORKING?”

This question is proof enough to believe that women have come a long way and have created their own identity and improved their status. I realized I should actually feel good about this FAQ.
Now, though I am a non-working woman, I have started to like the “ frequently asked question – Where are you working?”

Reliving the past - Memories It was my birthday. Birthday Wishes were pouring in from my family and friends in WhatsApp and Facebook.
